CHAIRMAN'S REPORT 20.07.2004

In presenting this report I would like to thank the committee for another years effort in keeping the Waihi Walkways moving forward. My particular thanks go to Eric Lens for his untiring efforts in the forward planning of the walkways. His energy and imagination in the production of detailed plans is an inspiration to me and the committee. 

We must not forget our sponsors—Trust Waikato—Environment Waikato—Lotteries—Newmont Waihi Gold Coy.—Jim Say Foundation—Valder Trust—or the help that has been given by the Department Of Conservation with their advice and expertise. 

Although the Mill Stream walkway has not officially been opened it has very well used by individuals, families and groups. 

Although this is a brief report it is made with the knowledge that Waihi Walkways is making a very valuable asset for the community as a whole.
